About Bark Twain

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hey everyone, my name is Bark Twain and I'm here to steal your heart! Foster mom says I'm the best pup - smart, handsome, easy going and loves to snuggle! I'm also goofy. I'll get the zoomies running lightning speed all around the yard, try really hard to jump up on the big bed, or stare at my reflection in the mirror - foster mom thinks I'm pretty funny! I really enjoy hanging out on the couch with you or taking a snooze in my dog bed. My foster home has a big older dog and I sure do love him! I know how to respect him and I like when we get to play rough or tug-o-war. I'm learning how to be a big boy by following his lead. Chewing on a bully stick or a tough bone is my favorite hobby right now and keeps me occupied. Potty training? I have it down almost 100%. You could definitely say I'm a fast learner! I'm also starting to understand 'no' and 'come'. I sleep through the night in my crate no problem, but I am not a big fan of my crate during the day, of course it's no fun being away from my humans and fur brother. With more crate training I will get better, I've been eating my meals in my crate and that's helping me get used to it as well. I eat a lot for my age, I am a growing boy after all! I absolutely love people and give love and kisses to everyone, I also love other dogs! I don't have a mean bone in my body. Come meet me at the adoption center this weekend and be ready to fall in love! Bark Twain is a Male Lab / Hound Mix that we estimate to be born around 12/11/2019. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
