Courtesy Posting: CODE RED - SPCALA GAVE EXTENSION FOR KING KONG 11 YR ADORABLE CHOW/PEI? - WILL NOW BE PTS ON 2/18 DUE TO AGE, SO WRONG, CAN ANYONE SAVE? SWEET DOG, LIVED W OTHER DOGS, I HAVE VIDEO; $620- KING KONG 45 LBS- NEED FOSTER/ADOPTER/RESCUE/MORE PLEDGES FOR MEDICAL KING KONG - No ID info available yet SPCA - Los Angeles, CA King Kong is an adorable but very neglected 45 lb, 11 year old chow (maybe also with some pei) who was surrendered with several other shep mixes in even worse condition (sorry they have not given me the other dogs' info yet). He is currently at a private shelter in Hawthorne who wants to euthanize him Saturday because he has arthritis. We have video and he is a little stiff but mostly just looks neglected and would benefit greatly by proper nutrition and meds. He has flea dermatitis and is missing much of his fur from this utter neglect. %BD%BD%BC The prior Owner said this boy is friendly with people and strangers- and he looks awfully sweet in video I just got from shelter which we can share via facebook or text. We also have his Medical notes we can share, which appear mostly cosmetic and treatable. He walks slower but not like he is ready to leave this earth though. We are now desperately looking for a loving home or foster for him so a rescue can save him. They would assist with medical. We are also raising pledges for his rescue. If you can help or have interest, please contact me at [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network https://www.facebook.com/Southern-California-Chow-Chow-Rescue-Network-1968091010140112/ Also, Julie Prewitt is Animal Housing Coordinator| [email protected] Direct: (562) 206-1361 | Mobile: (323) 803-3109, she is the one that thinks it is better to euthanize him though. So please contact us if you want to save him. We are begging them for more time to try to find a home (adopter or foster) for him to go to
