About Cody Bear

Cody Bear is a stunningly gorgeous 9 year-old Golden Retriever. He's an amazing boy that lived his first 9 years of life outside in a pen. Cody loves being inside now. He was heartworm positive, but has finished his treatment and is doing well. This boy had a hard life to this point, but he's ready to be the spoiled, adored gorgeous baby he deserves to be! Cody is an absolute doll. Because of his start in life, he's still learning all the 'inside manners' and needs his new family to show him the ropes. This precious boy just wants to be loved. When walking outside, he wants to lean right against his person. It's like he just can't get enough of human touch. Because he's a senior, we want to find a loving home that can make his last few years the best! Cody has a spot on his abdomen that he does not like to be touched and can be snappy (he has never bitten anyone) if you attempt to do so. We have had x-rays and an ultrasound performed with no medical reason noted. Because of this, we do not recommend him with small children. He is also protective of his bed and food, which he doesn't want to share with other dogs. Cody is not aggressive, he's just learning his way in living like a 'normal' dog, and needs his humans to come find him and teach him how good life can be!
