About Haley

Haley is a female Chihuahua, 4-5 years of age and weighs 8.5 pounds. She and a pup, that appeared to be from her last litter, was picked up stray and brought to the San Marcos Animal Care. Her second day in the facility, Haley delivered 3 puppies. We were contacted by the facility and ask if we would take her in, but she was heartworm positive. We immediately picked them up. She was a very protective mom, but a very good mom. Haley's pups are now adopted and Haley is in the last week of heartworm treatment. Since her puppies have left, her personality has changed. She is loving, attention seeking, and loves to sit in laps and sleep in her kennel. She would do well with older children. Would NOT be a dog good around small children. She is housebroken and walks on a leash. She does well with other dogs and most likely ok with cats, but squirrels are in danger. We visited a petshop and she enjoyed the attention and treats that were offered. Haley has been heartworm treated, spayed, microchipped, and up to date with all vaccinations.
