About Cashew

We are following the HSUS and the Dayton Humane Society guidelines until the COVID-19 virus crisis passes.*** Cashew is a five month old 'Chiweenie' who weighs about 7-8 pounds. He is looking for an active furever home who is willing to put in the time and effort it takes to raise a dog through puppyhood. He has an incredibly affectionate personality and has yet to meet a stranger. He loves dogs of all sizes to play with and even likes to play with the cat who is at his foster home. He will thrive in an environment that either has another young dog or young children for him to play with. He loves toys that are just as big as he is and is very motivated to learn. He would do well in an obedience class for puppies. Cashew respects boundaries, but he will need a fenced-in yard. He is about 75% there with his potty training and getting better every day. He is used to his crate and settles down, usually under the blankets, within minutes. Cashew would make a great family dog for an active bunch who understands his needs as a puppy!
