Gulliver Dachshund/Terrier Mix Male 4 years old Hey there, I'm Gulliver, and I'm here at PawsCo hoping for a family that will love me forever. I'm an incredibly special pup who is about as sweet as it gets! And I am looking for a truly special adopter because I have some health issues that will require long-term care. I'm affectionate, loving, gentle, what more could you ask for? I'm generally really laid back, but I do enjoy playing fetch and going for walks around the neighborhood. I do need to have a lower activity lifestyle due to my medical needs but I don't mind since I'm so easy going! I'm truly just a gentle soul who gets along with just about everyone I meet. I like to play with the other dog in my foster home but my very favorite thing is snuggling up with my people. I'm potty trained, do fine with free roam of the house while my foster parents are away (sometimes I do a little 'I'm lonely' howl so an apartment situation may not be best for me if you aren't home often!) and am already learning some awesome things like 'sit' and 'stay. I do have a significant heart murmur which requires some long-term medical care. I'm on a long-term medication and a more sporadically used medication to support my heart health. The cost of both meds is about $70/month total. I also need to see a cardiology vet a few times a year, which costs about $400/visit. Due to my heart condition, I will likely not have as long as a life expectancy as other dogs my age. I understand that it will take a truly special adopter who will be comfortable with my medical needs. The kind folks at PawsCo will answer any and all questions you have about my condition and I appreciate you considering adopting a dog with special medical needs!
