About Charlie

Hey there! I am Charlie, a handsome,distinguished, senior gentleman. At 11 years young and 15 pounds, I am ready to be the life of your party. My ideal home would have kids or other dogs for me to play with. Mr. Social, that's me. We can skip the cats, though. I don't really like them. As people and pets get older, we develop some age-related problems. I have recently been diagnosed with Cushing's Disease (most likely pituitary rather than adrenal). This causes me to be really thirsty but so far that is my only symptom. As the disease progresses, my urine production could increase. If that happens, there are medications that can help. I also have developed kidney disease and need to eat a prescription diet I have been very thoroughly checked over by the vet. I had a dental cleaning and an ultrasound of my abdomen. Up to date on all my vaccines, neutered, negative for Heartworm and Lyme Diseases and microchipped too, I am looking for a lovely, kind-hearted family to spend the rest of my days with.
