About Mimi (east)

Hi, my name is Mimi, ID#A4316789 I am a female, spayed tan and white Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about a year and 5 months old. I have been at the shelter since September 18, 2019. Poor Mimi has been at the shelter over 4 months and has begun to show signs of kennel deterioration. This happens to all social animals eventually when they have been incarcerated for long periods of time. They need social interaction whether with other dogs or people. Here are notes from a volunteer who recently spent time with Mimi: 'I had the honor of walking this insanely adorable little sausage over the weekend. She did good on the leash, but she does like to jump up and down while walking, but this a playing issue, not aggression. My dog does exactly the same thing when we walk, so I knew exactly what Mimi was doing as we were walking the trail. She does get a burst of energy, but this can also be due to the pent up energy she has to deal with by being in a kennel all day. She is adorable though, but could still use an experienced handler and would be best not being around small children due to her on and off energy bursts.' Mimi has been adopted out several times, but returned due to her high energy, and adopter's inability to control her. Unless a permanent home is found for Mimi within a day or two, she will face being euthanized. Please save this sweet girl, and welcome her as your next furry family member.
