About Chubs

Meet CHUBS!!! This gentle giant is such a sweet boy! Chubs is a 3 year old Boxer mix and has settled right in - what a love bug! He loves his belly rubs and being brushed and is happiest just lying around with all of us. Chubs is a GREAT family dog and has been amazing with our kids (ages 10 & 6) and is a HUGE hit at the bus stop!! Chubs is working hard on his house manners. It is clear he was taught to sit and walk on a leash in his past, but now he's just a little out of practice. He is a good listener, quick learner and eager to please, which is making his training go very smoothly! It's awesome how far he has come in just a couple of weeks. Chubs loves taking naps on his cozy bed and playing with his toys. He walks well on a leash and enjoys evening walks with his foster sister (who is much smaller than he is). He does not exhibit any aggressive behavior around food and after a few barks, easily settles into his crate while we are gone and at night while we sleep. Chubs is 3 years old and weighs 55 pounds; he is housebroken and crate trained; he is good with dogs and children; we are unsure about cats; he walks well on a leash and knows basic commands.
