About Raquel

Adoption Fee: $100
Doberman Pinscher
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Hello everyone, I am looking to rehome our 1 year old Doby puppy We got her from a breeder friend of ours who had to find homes for 2 puppies after they were born blind. the mother, Rosie developed a massive uterine infection (open pyometra) and mastitis so puppies had to tube feed 24/7 for the first 3 or so weeks of their life. The two Red girls developed eye infections with the first 3/4 days which we treated with antibiotic ointment immediately but when their eyes began opening; she saw they were not normal. Vet visits, specialist visit... long story short... both have no sight as a result. Raquel is very very high energy and is NOT good with livestock. She thinks chickens are living squeecky toys. also smaller fluffy things need to be watched. She doesn't mean any harm she just thinks she is playing. She would be best as a single dog or other large dog and to someone who has time to train her. Our living situation changed and I am not able to be home at all during the day and am gone most weekends with kids that play sports. I will have no fences for her to roam around which she absolutely loves to do and will not crate her for 12 hours a day and I ask that if you are interested you will not do so. Raquel, is very gregarious and outgoing - absolutely fearless and has no idea what her limitations are. She could fit in with some training to anyones life style as she loves being outside. THIS DOG HAS NO FEAR. Crate trained, some leash training and is potty trained. Must be on a leash if in open area. She loves the water and has to be watched as she will bail out of a boat in a nano second. WE love this little girl and want her to be somewhere with someone who has the time she deserves. Both parents were completely health tested and xray's done. Sire, Julius, is one of the top showing Dobermans in the country and won the Breed at Westminster this year and the National Doberman Specialty last fall. Rosie is also a Champion in the ring, now retired. Tail docked, dew claws removed but left ears natural once we determined she had no sight. I am located in Oregon. The breeder and I have spoke intensively on the situation and her contact information will accompany miss Rocky. She cannot be bred and needs to be spayed asap by her new owner.
