About Molly

'I'm Molly. I'm three years old. I just want to have you all to myself, and I need you to help me build confidence and tolerance.' Molly is a very sweet APBT adopted when she was 3 months old. Her first owner worked full time and left her alone all day rather than socializing her. So Molly is insecure and closely attached-she wants to be right by her owner's side at all times. She is, however, HIGHLY sociable with her owner, and constantly looks for approval and love/close contact. Because Molly has low confidence and early poor habits, however, she is overwhelmed easily and suddenly. In those moments, she is very fear- or frustration-aggressive to strange people, strange animals, or anyone that isn't her main squeeze. For someone out there, Molly is the ultimate dog-smart, extremely loving and responsive, and loyal-but I have sadly to admit that I m1zam not in a position to provide the training that she needs. She is house-broken and knows sit, stay, lay down, and is responsive to training methods. It will break my heart to see her go. We have spent many nights together curled up watching a movie, snuggling. But I am realizing that I am not a responsible dog owner if I keep her here without being able to offer the training and attention that she needs to really become better adjusted to other people and to the world. Molly needs a loving, experienced owner/trainer who does not have other pets or children in the home to build confidence and undergo better socialization.
