About Quinn

This cutie is Quinn! He came to us from a New Orleans shelter. Quinn is an 8 year old Schnauzer mix who weighs 14 pounds. He was so severely matted when he came in that he had to be sedated to shave him. He gets along fine with other dogs, and also people. He has not been tested with cats or kids. Quinn likes to sleep in a chair in the bedroom. He is not housebroken and will need someone to work with him on that. Other than the video shown here Quinn shows very little emotion. We don't know anything about his history, but neglect is almost a given. He really needs a person who will just love on him and teach him how to be a beloved pet. We know he has a personality in there, he just needs the right person with some patience to draw it out of him. He is up to date on shots, neutered, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. We believe he has some hearing loss as well as some loss of vision. Quinn is heartworm positive and started treatment--which consists of 30 days of Doxycycline, given twice a day, followed by 12 months of Ivermectin. He will be retested at that time. The rescue supplies the medicine and pays for the tests until he tests negative. Little Quinn needs someone who will give him lots of TLC and teach him how to be a loved pet. There's something so rewarding about bringing a rescue dog out of it's shell and watching them blossom because of your love and care.
