About Hero

A day with Hero starts with hugs when he pushes his neck toward you for scratches or hugs. He wants you to start the day out right, knowing you are his favorite person. Then he is up for adventures: going for walks, playing ball, or just sitting by your side. He is the goofiest dog. He will sing to you sometimes, nudge you if he thinks you are down, and he will let you know if anyone comes close to the house with a low growl and turn to make sure you noticed. And he thinks he is a little dog as he grew up with a very bossy terrier that is definitely the dominant dog. There is a challenge with Hero, his German Shepard DNA tells him he is a loyal family dog. So he goes for walks well, but he takes a little time to warm up with new people in his space. It used to take him a few days, and now it takes him about 20 minutes to LOVE new humans. And he loves his teenager. Also, he LOVES ALL DOGS - ALL! He thinks all dogs are his new best friend.
