About Hannah

Gorgeous Hannah is an easygoing and playful 13 week old German Shepherd/ Lab mix puppy. Outgoing and affectionate, Hannah is equally happy playing with toys or cuddling on her foster mom's lap when she's tired. This 14 pound girl is on the smaller side in her litter, and has an almost entirely black lab face with tan colored shepherd-style socks. She is a smart girl who is eager to please, and is learning new routines very quickly. Sleeping through the night in her crate, she is doing well going to the bathroom outside when kept on a schedule, and has learned her name and comes when she is called. Hannah is being fostered in a home with 3 dog savvy young boys (ages eight, 10, and 14 )and a wonderful nanny dog who is showing her and her brother Howie the ropes. She is learning well from her mentor dog, and loves to play and snuggle with the boys. Hannah is entering a puppy teething phase so would be best in a forever home with children 6+, who can redirect her appropriately as she is exploring the world with her mouth. This loving girl is friendly to everyone, and will be a wonderful addition to a family. She would be very happy in a home with kids to play with, and could also thrive in an active adult home. Hannah is a large, active breed mix who will need an active home with a yard, and is not suited to apartment living. She will require plenty of exercise, stimulation, training, and socialization for many months to come in order to help her on her journey to becoming a well-socialized, well-mannered girl. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care, so please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested prior to submitting. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health and safety of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering, and microchipping before transporting our dogs. Then, we provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you.
