Terk is 6 å%BD years old and was originally listed as a Chihuahua mix. His foster Mom thinks he may have some Cocker Spaniel in him but whatever his DNA is, he's a doll. He has been through a lot in his past few years. He was adopted in 2015 to a wonderful lady that he lived with for 4 years (as an only dog). Subsequently, Terk needed to be surrendered back due to his adoptive Mom going into assisted living. He was then re-adopted into another great home with 3 children for 5 months and was returned once again because he started becoming territorial with his adoptive Mom and nipping at the kids in the home. Due to this situation he will not be able to be adopted into a home with kids under 16. Upon returning to his foster home he has been happy and social and gets along fine with all the other dogs in the foster home. Terk is not a barker, he is housebroken and dog door trained. He is a quiet guy and loves belly rubs, car rides and especially walks. He is happy to meet all new people. Terk weighs 19 pounds and is full grown. A home check will be required and in depth interviews to ensure he will finally be in his forever home. To keep Terks coat shiny and smooth, he will need regular grooming. While here with AZSDR, Terk received a dental cleaning and had a total of 5 teeth extracted. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and vet checked. His adoption fee is $220 and includes a free vet visit and 30 days of complementary pet insurance. His foster Mom Lori can be reached at 602-918-9430.
