About Denali

Adopter needed NOW! Please! Denali is a middle aged, mixed breed dog who came to us from a rural shelter because they thought she was pregnant and seemed ok with other dogs. Well, they were wrong! Denali has been untrustworthy with other dogs and has tried to eat the cats in her foster home! She loves, loves, LOVES people and needs an adoptive home all to herself. We would just love to be able to give her all the time in the world to find someone to love her but....we are an all volunteer, foster based rescue and we don't have a physical shelter with a cage to keep Denali in. Therefore, she needs an adopter, local foster, or transfer to another rescue to save her. We don't want to euthanize a dog who loves people so we are asking you all to help us find her a great home! Let's do it! We love people who want to love the unpopular ones! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
