About Ash

Ash had been sitting in the shelter since December as rescue only due to an unfortunate incident where he was plagued as a 'biter'. Ash's owner surrendered him because they said he nipped one time and could no longer keep him because of that. Because Ash has had zero biting history when at the shelter, it leads us to believe his owners either over exaggerated about the incident or lied about it because they just didn't want him anymore and felt like they needed an excuse to get rid of him. Outside of being shy, timid and wondering where the heck he was at the shelter, Ash had a shining report from shelter workers. Since he has been in our care, he has been an absolute gentleman. Sweet, adorable, getting along great with his foster fur siblings, dogs and cats alike, he is such a special young man. He will need a potential adopter with patience and living in a calm environment since he is so nervous. It will take some time for him to build trust, but he is already starting to come out of his shell at his fosters and is looking for his forever home! Ash is starting to come out of his shell being around his GSD fur sibling. We would love to see Ash placed in a home with another dog to help build his confidence! Because Ash is shy, we would like to see him adopted locally in Los Angeles.
