About Burt

Burt: 'ADOPTION PENDING' 10 years old, black & tan, neutered male, natural ears & docked tail, 13' 14.5 lbs. Shots up-to-date & micro-chipped, rescued from a hoarding situation. Burt is such a sweet and loving guy who just comes alive when he sees his human. If you sit down, there is Burt. He is so happy to be out of the hoarder situation he came from and part of a family! He really would like a home where a human can give him the individual attention that he craves. Burt also just purrs when he's on the couch by you, but you have to lift him up and down as being crated for so many years has left him with some mobility issues. He also can't get through a doggy door that is up to high, but he will go to the door, sit and look up and bark to let you know he needs in or out. A doggy door that is lower to ground level is easy for him to use. Burt really just wants to be free by being allowed to enjoy the out of doors, and he thrives on being loved and touched by a human.
