After being in separate foster homes for almost a year, they are now reunited in the same home in Northeast CT. They surely remembered each other as if they did not miss a beat! They are always side by side, no matter what they do. Both are shy upon meeting new people and they really need a quieter home that is patient and loving. Both Marney and Bruce are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, negative for Lyme disease and heartworm and are dewormed, microchipped and current on flea/tick /heartworm prevention. Marney is a year old female beagle/lab mix. She is a short little low rider weighing about 25lbs. She loves chin rubs and to just be around people. She had a cherry eye and had a successful surgery to fix the problem. Bruce is a two year old male rat terrier mix about 26lbs. He really looks out for Marney and loves to be around people. Bruce gets scared when someone is wearing a hood on, and can be a bit weary until he trusts you. Both have proven themselves to be good around other dogs. Though they have been around kids, we are looking for a home that either has no children or children over the age of 15 to ensure these babies are able to decompress properly in their forever home. A home without a lot of in and out traffic is ideal for them as well as having a fenced in yard as they are considered a flight risk due to being shy and afraid. (With any pet in a new environment, one should always assume they are a flight risk.) Marney and Bruce are housebroken. Marney is crate trained but Bruce has crate aggression and should not be crated. Both are super sweet and need a dog savvy home.
