I'm Desna, nice to meet you. I've been hanging out with my foster family with OPH for a while now getting happy and healthy again. I'm an older gal but I have a lot of love to give my forever family. My foster mom thought you might like to know a few things about me. ~ I'm about 6 years old ~ I'm 65 pounds. I get compliments all the time on my shiny black coat and white chest. ~ Foster Mom says I'm sweet and affectionate. She also says my nose boops are some of the best she's ever felt. I'm very good at convincing people that BELLY RUBS ARE NEEDED ASAP! ~ I'm house trained, but being outside is my absolute favorite. Did you know the world is SO BIG? And smells a million different ways? I plan to smell to smell every single one of them with you. ~ Foster mom says I am silly and quirky girl. She can give you more examples of my quirks. ~ I LOVE peanut butter, dip anything in it and I am a fan :) I LOVE hot dogs too. Can you help me figure out if I love hot dogs dipped in peanut butter? It's really been on my mind lately. ~ I LOVE walks and get super excited to see Foster Mom pull the leash out! ~ I LOVE wet grass. If we walk after a rain, there is nothing better than to roll in it!!! ~ I LOVE LEAF PILES also! I stick my whole head in looking to sniff all the smells. ~ I'm crate trained. I can sleep there, eat there and sometimes just hang out in there. I know the drill here. But you can trust me out of the crate too. I'll really really really try not to mess anything up. Can't have my favorite people upset with me! ~ I know some basic commands. Bet you can teach me some new ones if we practice. ~ I have good doggie house manners. I may test you when I arrive just to see what I can get away with, because...you know...we're all still puppies at heart, right? Here is another neat thing about me. I recently had a FHO surgery because I had a problem with my back leg. Because I was so uncomfortable before my surgery I find that I like a quiet and mostly kid free house. I do like older kids but little ones can be kinda scary to me. Wanna know something else that scares me? The vet! The vet is scary even though I know they are trying to help ....I would love to check out one of those 'fear free' vets. I hear those guys are awesome! I loooove all the walks I get now that my leg is feeling better. We could take some nice walks along the paths and walkways by your house if you want. Getting out and getting some exercise is good for all of us. Well, I'll be hanging out with my foster family here in Arlington, Va until you come and meet me. Don't wait too long, I really like it here but my New Year's Resolution is to find a forever home! Wanna help me with my big goal?!?
