About Allura

Allura is a year old Redbone Coonhound who has not had an easy life. She came to us starving and clearly abused. Despite such a rough start, Allura is already starting to warm up and show lots of personality. She loves to sit in flower pots and look out over the yard. Allura knows basic commands like sit, lay, and down. She has already picked up crate training with no problems at all. She is a pure sweetheart, just wanting to soak up all the love that she can. Allura loves to be petted on and cuddle up to dogs, cats, kids, and adults. She could play with chew toys all day and is a very strong chewer. She would do well with strong and durable toys. Allura is making up for lost time with food. She is not food aggressive but does not think twice about stealing unattended food. Despite her previous abuse, Allura tolerates being touched, pulled, and jumped on by playmates extremely well. She has a lot of energy for playing and really enjoys a fenced in yard to wear out that energy. Allura is incredibly smart, sweet, and energetic.
