About Jazz

Jazz is ready to find her forever home! Jazz is an 11-year-old, 12-lb, female Chihuahua/Terrier mix - at least that is what she looks like. She lived with an older couple. Her mother passed away 4 years ago and her father recently had to move in with his daughter. He couldn't take his dogs so he surrendered Jazz to Puppy Pals Rescue. She has been spayed, microchipped, heartworm and fecal tested (results negative), and is current on heartworm/flea/tick preventative. She is in great shape for a senior dog. She even acts young. Jazz likes to play with other dogs that are her size or smaller - larger dogs intimidate her. She hasn't shown any interest in toys in her foster home, but that could change with time or in a different environment. Jazz is house broken and crate trained. She is crate protective - she doesn't like other dogs in her crate whether she is in it or not. She can be noisy when the other dogs are noisy, but hangs out quietly when the other dogs are quiet. Jazz has a good appetite but will stop eating when she is full. She loves to ride in the car and loves to jump into your lap - she is definitely a lap dog. She is a character and just wants to be loved! Puppy Pals Rescue will only consider local potential adopters for Jazz (live in the Dayton/Cincinnati/Columbus area). If you would like to meet Jazz, she will be at a couple Meet & Greet events in February. On Saturday, February 8, she will be at the Petco at 300 E Stroop Rd in Kettering from noon to 2pm. On Saturday, February 15, she will be at the PetValu at 3201 Dayton-Xenia Rd in Beavercreek from 1pm to 3pm.
