Astra weighs 45 pounds and should not get any bigger than 50 pounds once fully grown. She is micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines, on heartworm and flea and tick prevention. She is also spayed. This pretty girl was abandoned in the cruel streets of Houston, TX where she fended for herself along with the other 1.2 Million stray dogs. Astra was found just in time by a good Samaritan before the stray life took too much of a toll on her body and mind. She had a horrible case of Demodex mange but recovering well from it. Her coat is starting to grow in nicely now and she no longer itches. Astra loves to run and romp in the back yard and chase other dogs and fetch toys. She is happiest when appropriately exercised. She would make an amazing running partner and a fun walking and hiking companion. She loves being outdoors but also likes to snuggle with her humans and get belly rubs. She also likes playing with her chew toys. Astra will let you know when she wants something. She is a talker and a dancer. She is very intelligent and will benefit from an owner who can keep her mentally and physically stimulated. She will need daily brushing. So if you are not up to the needs to keep Astra happy with daily exercise, mind-stimulation, grooming, and daily obedience training, Astra is not the dog for you.
