If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Herman is the pup you want to have around! Herman, at just about 1 year old (his birthday is 1/29/19..happy birthday sweet Herman!) and 24 lbs, is just naturally a lover....when he looks at you with those dark, expressive eyes and sweet smile, your heart just can't help but melt. Herman is a truly beautiful Pug/Beagle mix (Puggle) with all the traits that make these very smart and personality-plus dogs extremely popular breed mixes for families as well as best friends for individuals. Herman enjoys his time with his foster mom so much that he joins her just about everywhere she goes...it's so important to Herman to be a true best friend! He loves his people more than anything and would definitely win an award for being best friend #1!. Herman cuddles close on the couch (or snuggling close on the bed all night is perfect!). An occasional kiss from Herman is inevitable. He's a sensitive and very sweet guy who derives so much joy from his time spent with his people and his canine best friends. Herman is a young, healthy dog who will love his family with all his heart. He would enjoy another kind and gentle dog to play with... and then to lie in the sunshine together enjoying a beautiful day. Herman will have so much fun exploring and taking long hikes along the Colorado trails. He's always open to new activities with a never-ending positive attitude...just say the word and up Herman jumps for a car ride, a fun hike or just a sociable stroll around the neighborhood. Herman's foster mom had the following to brag about this sweet guy: Herman is a stunning Pug/Beagle mix (Puggle) with a beautiful face and the prettiest and wisest eyes ever. He's 12 months old, weighs a perfect, portable size of 24 lbs and just gets more loving and engaging every single day. This gorgeous guy is simply blossoming! His story, as told by his rescuer, is one of compassion and speaks of the irresistible qualities of this little dog: Meet our sweet Herman! He is a 1 year old (DOB 1-29-19) Puggle (Pug/ Beagle Mix) that was rescued from a breeder to prevent him from a horrifying life as a breeding dog. Herman is a very friendly, loving and silly guy who is SO much fun! He is a neutered male that is house trained and gets along so well with dogs/cats and loves all children. My daughter is 16 months old and Herman is kind and very, very gentle with her. This guy is just about normal activity level but since he's just a pup, he is just a bit more active than my older dogs :) I picture him having the greatest time hiking the trails of Colorado. He absolutely loves being outside and has been a perfect partner for me in my early morning 2-mile walk followed by a stop at a local coffee shop. Regulars at the shop look forward to Herman visiting and are ready with his favorite treats..he's just that lovable! Herman is fully vaccinated, neutered, dewormed, on heartworm medication and has been examined by a vet recently...he's in perfect health! This super-engaging guy has been to doggy daycare and has been an A+ pup! He really enjoys his toys and loves chews. We give him bison knees and other long-lasting, very delicious chew toys when he is kenneled. Herman is kennel trained (although not really necessary unless being left for quite a while) and in his kennel at night. He really enjoys his kennel..it has his very cushy bed in it with a favorite toy and often a kong with frozen baby food just because he only deserves the best. Herman is wonderful and irresistible! Whoever is lucky enough to have this super-friendly guy join their family is getting a true gem! Herman is an extremely affectionate and loving dog! We would love to see him in a home with a family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and kind dog. Herman is too sensitive a guy to be left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home. Retirees or a younger family that works just part-time or from a home office is an excellent choice for Herman. A positive reinforcement/force free group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills.
