His owner needs to move into an apartment building and Joey has a tendency to howl when he leaves. He needs to move ASAP so Joey is in need of immediate help! He is just as cute as can be. Check out his photos! Name: Joey Age: 7 years old Breed: Cocker Spaniel Sex: Male (neutered - confirmed) Location: Overland Park, Kansas Vet Info: Joey is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. He weighs about 23 pounds. His owner tells us Joey 'is blindness is genetic. He was losing his sight when I adopted him. It is just steadily become worse over time. Other than his sight issue, he is very healthy. Love to play and jump around.' Owner Info: Joey is an indoor dog with the run of the house. He is housebroken and leash trained. His owner shared, 'Joey is very good with the command, 'sit'. Due to his inability to see very well, he has what I call the 'shiny ball' syndrome. Meaning he becomes distracted with noises or lights.' Joey is described as outgoing but a little nervous at times, and his owner checked that he's good with women and children, male and female dogs, and cats. He currently lives with two dogs and does well with them. He is not possessive of toys, treats, or food and has never bitten or snapped. His owner told us, 'Joey likes to grumble if his sisters try to take one of his toys. He doesn't bite or snap. grumbling seems to be his way of letting us know he is there.' His owner also shared that Joey adapts very well and 'he has gone to day care, etc and always has a great time.' His owner wants us to know that, 'Joey is a wonderful dog. It breaks my hear to re-home him but due to my current situation, I have no choice. He is outgoing, doesn't let his blindness get in his way. He may run into something but immediately gets up and just goes the other way. Very playful. Would do very well with someone who is home most of the time.'
