About Luna

Luna was found abandoned during a storm and was going to be euthanatized. A woman saved her life but unfortunately Luna lived in her garage for months because her dogs would pick on Luna and attack her after discovering Luna was deaf. This woman knew that was not a way for a dog to live their life. I have fostered about a dozen dogs and agreed to foster Luna until she found a home. Luna is about 3 years old and looks as though she has had at least one litter of puppies maybe more. She loves to play with other dogs and has a young personality but she needs to be properly introduced to other dogs. She loves people with all of her heart and is the cuddliest dog you will ever meet, literally. I have fostered numerous dogs but they have never been as lovable as Luna. I recommend she go to a home with another dog to play with and/or a family that can give her lots of attention. Luna may be deaf but there is nothing handicapped about her. One thing we have learned about Luna is that she was physically abused. If a broom, piece of wood, large stick, etc. is brought towards her she panics. My boyfriend jokingly tapped me with a piece of wood and Luna barked and growled at him. She was hesitant to let him around her until he put the wood down. This is a continual experience we have noticed. Luna was previously adopted but returned back to me because the family had a young child. With Luna's abused past and with her being deaf she is frightened when people approach her from behind. It was hard for the young child to understand that. So that home was not the best for her, she does get along with all people but young children need a little assistance learning her situation.
