About Iris

Imagine only having limited contact with only one person your entire childhood and not being introduced to anything outside a small fenced area. That's what Iris went through her first year of life. She never got to go on walks, meet people, experience the indoors, anything. She's learning now. slowly. She's a native Coloradan who came from a home who had too many dogs that weren't being taken care of. Iris was pregnant at barely 1 y/o. She had her babies back in Sept and is now looking for a home of her own. Not just any home. The perfect home. She's sensitive to loud noises and anyone who raises their voice. She shows some separation anxiety by shredding blankets. She likes her crate (which she'll come with) but only for short periods of time. Iris needs love and patience, a secure backyard with a 6 ft privacy fence and another friendly dog to show her the ropes. She'd like a low key home preferably w/o a lot of activity like kids running in and out. She's approx 15 months old, 30#, spayed, utd on shots and chipped. Iris is potty trained but will need a refresher in a new home with a new routine. We are in no hurry to adopt her to just anyone, so please expect a lot of questions if you're interested in Iris. We require the meet and greet application, home and reference check and a meet with everyone living in the home including current pets. We will not consider an out of state adoption for Iris.
