SAY HELLO TO REMI ! Remi is a handsome 2 year old brindle coated Shih Tzu boy. Weighing in at 13 pounds, Remi is such a sweet liitle boy. Remi was surrendered because his owners were unable to care for him. Remi was found as a stray dog and after not finding his owners, the finder decided to keep him. After a month or two of one of the finder's dogs starting to not get along with the then unneutered Remi, they surrendered him to us. He is a sweet dog who loves to snuggle at bed time. He does not care for young children and has nipped at them on an occasion but generally likes everyone he meets. So his ideal family will be adults or adults with teens - no toddlers, infants or children. Remi likes to go for car rides and walks like a champ on the leash greeting everyone respectfully. He greets you at the door and likes to go with you whenever you leave! He is well behaved however when he is home alone. (with other dogs at least) We think Remi would like to be the only dog but he may be just fine with a non confrontational friend as well .. likely a female smaller breed of like age with a submissive personality. Remi is house trained but like all rescues, he will need gentle guidance and patience as he learns his new family's routine. Remi is a longer coated breed that will require regular brushing as well as professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks. Remi's adoption fee is $ 450.00 This fee includes his Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue, his neuter, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, de-worming, a pre-adoption professional groom and a microchip with lifetime membership. Remi will also have a new collar and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality grain free kibble that he has been eating. His adoption fee also allows us the ability to put funds towards the next little one in need of rescue! If you'd like to considered to adopt Remi or any of our adorable rescues, please go to our website at: http://azshihtzurescue.com/ to complete and return an adoption application for review.
