About Oscar

Oscar, and his brother Oliver, are looking for a new home. They are littermates and have been together for their entire 9 year lives, so we are only looking for a home for them together. They are purebred Standard Poodles and both are cream colored. Oliver and Oscar are looking for a new home because their owners are no longer able to physically care for them. Their dad is in a rehabilitation center trying to get use of his legs back. Their mom is about to have heart surgery and will need time to heal and get her strength back. They have made the difficult decision to find a new home for Oliver and Oscar where they have a family that can better care for them. It is a very selfless and caring decision so their dogs can have their best lives. Oliver and Oscar have always been well cared for. We have been provided vet records back to the time when they were puppies. They have always seen their vet regularly and have always been groomed. Oliver has limited vision in his left eye as the result from an injury when he was a puppy before his owners got him. He can see shapes and light in that eye, but his other eye is fine. Otherwise, they are healthy dogs. The boys need a fenced yard as they have not spent much time on a leash lately. They are well mannered dogs and are used to being near their people. They will alert you when someone is at the door, but they calmly meet new people when they enter the house. They are not used to being around small children, they are used to a quiet home, so that would be the best match for them. Oliver and Oscar are up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm tested and microchipped. They are housetrained and used to freely roaming their home. They would love soft dog beds or laying on the couch while hanging out with their family. They are both very sweet and gentle dogs.
