Nationals came into the shelter after we received a telephone call about a skinny, beat up, bleeding cat at a local gas station. We picked him up and took him to the vets where they had to clean out several open wounds on National. Everything has healed, except for one spot by his tail that was the biggest wound on his little body. It's healing, but taking longer to heal due to location. We call him Nats for short and named him National because we saved him the day that the Nationals won the world series.
