About Sadie

Adoption Fee: $100
Corgi / Lab
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

I rescued Sadie in Oct 2013 at about 10 months old. She had been abused and was very ill. Now she is healthy strong and active with good muscle and bone structure. Her coat is soft, she does not leave any order and she has very little dander. She likes to play catch, keep away and loves to roll around on the grass. She likes most dogs very much, have no idea about cats. When it comes to people, she is fearful of all until she has a chance to learn that the person is nice and will not harm her or her owner. So one must be patient when introducing her to new people. It takes her longer to warm up to small children. She is very intelligent, listens to every word you say to her and therefore knows many commands and words such as out, in, come, sit, stay, lay down, off, play, back (to move back away when playing catch), drop (to drop items from mouth), food, treat, water drink drink drink, too early go back to bed (she can awake early sometimes), quiet to stop barking (she does guard the home but does not bark all day), bedtime, etc... She likes to be with you and does not do well alone for long periods of time. Given her history, she still has separation anxiety. So that issue along with timidity around new people require patience. But she is loving, beautiful, active, fun, sweet, house broken, does not damage anything and is a good girl. My husband passed and I have to sell my home quickly and am likely to not be able to take her with me so I need to find her a loving home. She does best on lamb based foods and treats that are mostly protein. She is spade, her rabies vaccine does not expire until 2021 and she has a microchip to be transferred to the new owner.
