About Latte-ADOPTION PENDING

Yorkie
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Latte is the pup you want to have around! Latte, at just about 2 years old and 12 lbs, is just naturally a lover....when he looks at you with those dark, expressive eyes and sweet smile, your heart just can't help but melt. Latte is a truly beautiful Yorkshire Terrier (he's been identified by vets as a purebred, we just know he's gorgeous and as sweet as can be!) with all the traits that make these super- smart and personality-plus dogs a very popular breed for families as well as individuals. Latte enjoys his time with his New Mexico foster mom so much that he joins her just about everywhere she goes...it's so important to Latte to be a best friend! He loves his people more than anything and would definitely win an award for being a loyal and loving companion. Latte cuddles close on the couch (or snuggling close on the bed all night is perfect!) ..an occasional kiss from this very sweet guy is inevitable. He's a sensitive and very sweet pup who derives so much joy from his time spent with his people and like-sized canine best friends. Latte is a young, healthy dog who will love his family with all his heart. He would enjoy another like-sized, very gentle dog to play with and then to lie in the sunshine together enjoying a beautiful day. Latte is very intimidated by dogs larger than himself and therefore they wouldn't be a good fit in his home. Latte will have so much fun exploring and taking walks along the Colorado paths and trails. He's always open to new activities with a never-ending positive attitude...just say the word and up Latte jumps for a car ride, a fun hike or just a sociable stroll around the neighborhood. Latte's foster mom had the following to brag about this very sweet guy: Latte is a stunning purebred Yorkshire Terrier (as identified by New Mexico vets) with a beautiful face and the prettiest and wisest eyes ever. Even with his awful haircut (I'm not sure why they shaved his nose!), he's gorgeous both inside and out with the softest hair I've ever felt. Latte weighs a perfect 12 lbs (just right for walks, adventures and cuddling next to me on the bed all night long!) and just gets more loving and engaging every single day. This wonderful spirit is simply blossoming! Latte is an extremely easy going and affectionate companion! I would love to see him in a home with a family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and fun-loving dog. I'd hate to see Latte left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home. I think he's too sensitive for that. He's such an amazing pup and just the right size and temperament to accompany his people just about anywhere. Farfel's Rescue would like to see Latte in a home where he'll get consistent mental and physical stimulation and tons of loving hugs. A positive reinforcement/force free group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. These training classes make such a difference in dog's behavior and bonding with their people that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't choose this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement/force free trainers in your area. Latte has the stunning, non-shedding coat that is consistent with his breed. He will therefore require a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition (five star food and a daily salmon oil supplement is strongly recommended for longevity and coat care) to keep Latte's hair cottony-soft, matt-free and very healthy. We've requested that Latte be neutered prior to his transport to Denver. We're not optimistic that this will occur due to too many rescue dogs and not enough vets in this impoverished area of New Mexico. If it doesn't...Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Latte's neuter and microchip following his transport to Colorado if one of our rescue vets is used. We're currently searching for a very dog-crazy, loving and committed family for our sweet Latte. Applications are being accepted for this loyal and loving best friend and can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. PLEASE NOTE: If you're truly interested in adopting Latte, please be sure to submit the Farfel's Rescue adoption application that can be found at the link above or at farfels.com. Rescue site applications such as Petfinder, Rescueme or Adoptapet don't provide enough information for us to determine a great match for this very deserving dog and therefore aren't useful. We're sorry, but in most circumstances, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
