Derrick was a stray that showed up at someone's home. He had been injured and was missing the lower half of his back leg. The vet amputated the remainder of the leg. It is now completely healed and Derrick is ready for a new home. Derrick is an Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mixed with American Staffordshire Terrier or a similar breed. We think he is around 2 years of age and weighs 50 pounds. Derrick is a fabulous dog. He is very sweet and well mannered, He is good with other dogs and humans of all ages. He loves toys, treats, playing with other dogs, and watching SQUIRRELS! He does like to chase cats. Derrick is crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is pretty good in the house. He does like to spend time outside and would like a fenced yard to run and play. He would love to go on walks. Derrick must be walked on a leash and be in the house as a loved member of the family. Derrick is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He has been treated for heartworms and is now heartworm free. He is current on heart worm and flea prevention. Derrick has a $200 adoption fee. Please contact 2 Many Dogs Rescue for an adoption application if you are interested in adopting this wonderful dog. We do adopt out of state and Derrick can be shipped to the northeast via ground transport for a total cost of $500.00 (including adoption fee).
