About Louise

Louise is a 7 year old, 9 pound Pekingese. Louise came to us from a local breeder who was cited for having too many dogs in her home. When we first picked up Louise we felt feet kicking us. She was pregnant and the breeder didn't even know it. Louise gave birth to 5 puppies and was a good mom. All the puppies have found homes and now it's Louise turn. When we got Louise she was underweight, even though she was pregnant her backbone was sticking out. Her teeth were really bothering her so she wasn't eating well. Louise has had her teeth cleaned and now feels a whole lot better. She eats both dry kibble and canned food. Louise likes to follow her person around the house and loves to sit on a lap and be petted. Louise had never had a dog bed and was used to sleeping on newspapers. It took a while but now she loves her soft dog bed and it's her favorite place. Louise has one soft toy she likes to carry around but doesn't really play with toys. She is playful with another dog and needs another dog in her home with her. She is learning to be a normal dog by modeling her behavior after the other dogs in her foster home. Louise has short stubby legs and doesn't enjoy a lot of stairs. She will go up them but not down. She requires a fenced yard because she has no experience on a leash and likes to move away from people to go potty. Louise would enjoy a quiet home with people who aren't gone a full work day and no young children under 10. Louise is housetrained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
