About Lewis

This little guy is Lewis. Approximately 6 months old and still intact. For the last couple months he's been a family pet and experienced the indoor dog life, complete with little kids, guests, noisy neighbors, and other dogs. He's well on his way with training and is fully housebroken. He knocks at the door to be let outside, sits on command, backs off when told to, and sleeps through most nights without needing to be let out. He's definitely got energy to spare... walking with him is still challenging, although he is improving as I keep working with him, his pace is simply faster than an average walk and this causes him to pull at his leash. Running beside him is enjoyable, and as long as you keep going he will too. He's good with other dogs once they've met and gets along well with my barn cat. I haven't seen any aggression from him towards other animals, but being true to his pedigree he's curious and wants to track every scent that isn't common. (Fenced area or leash... if he gets on a trail without you you probably won't catch up to him for a long while.) He's loving and cuddly. He needs a better living situation than I can provide him, though. I'm not asking for a rehoming fee, but would appreciate if his new family could make a donation to RescueMe.
