Hi, my name is Monica Massey. I allowed a couple to come stay at our home during Christmas, as they were being evicted and had no place to stay. They left in the middle of the night and much to our surprise, they left 'Clyde'. Clyde is approx one year old and is a beautiful Brindle Boxer. He's got the most gentle spirit and he's really amazing. He's been dealt a rough hand to be so young. Clyde was born at a junkyard and lived there fenced with his mother and siblings until Charles (the guy that lived with us shortly) had begged the junkyard owner for him. Within a week or so, still skiddish, Charles was evicted and moved to my house leaving Clyde behind. When I found out, I immediately sent my husband to get him. When he and Charles picked Clyde up, he was limping. A closer look, made us realize that he had probably been hit by a car. His hind leg or hip seems to be out of place. Clyde is still skiddish but loves when he finally gets his nerve up to come close enough for a good petting. He is so super playful and such a happy young man. I know that Clyde probably needs his leg or hip set by a vet and honestly, there's no way that I can afford it. I am barely able to make sure that he's getting a little to eat and I worry that it's not enough. He's such a jolly and smart dog and I know in my heart that he deserves to be with a family that can love him, care for him and not abandon him. I'm praying that you can help us to make this series of unfortunate events in Clyde's little life, a memory and allow Clyde to spread his joy and happiness to a family that so longs for such a blessing. Please, contact me so that we may talk about options for Clyde. If you aren't able to help us, perhaps you could at least point me in the right direction. God bless.
