What is the retirement age for beagles? Well, for Jake it is 13! Jake has given up his job of hunting rabbits and moved to the warm and sunny foster home to play bingo and cruise the town in his Lincoln. He has to turn up his hearing aid but is a very healthy boy who lives to romp in the backyard before hitting the recliner for a snooze. Jake has been well cared for but has never lived inside a home. He loves it! He is in a foster home with dogs and cats and a kid and he enjoys every minute of it! Can your home be Jake's forever home? Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. For more information and to apply to adopt, please visit www.augustadogadoptions.org If you google our address, you will be directed to Richmond. That is NOT our adoption event location. If you have questions, please message us on Facebook.
