About Blacky

Blacky is a handsome 11- 12 year old boy who is a tiny 9.5 pounds looking for a home where he will be loved and treasured. Blacky loves children of all ages, kitties and other dogs too! He is a lover who wants cuddles and kisses. Blacky loves to go for walks on his leash and gets excited when he sees his leash and harness. Blacky loves to play with squeaky toys and has a wonderful time with them! Blacky wiggles when he is excited and is a happy charming boy. Blacky is an easy going guy and goes with the flow in most situations. He sometimes will be a little anxious when he is picked up and will shake a bit. Blacky sleeps in his very own little bed in his foster home in Florida. Blacky loves to go for car rides and enjoys watching the world go by through the window. Blacky eats W/D food from his vet and takes denamarin to help with some high liver values. Blacky is house trained and potty pad trained. He is good in a crate, but will whine just a bit when first placed in his crate. Like all dachshunds he will need to be confident in his environment to have good potty habits.
