About Donald (west)

Hi, my name is DONALD - ID#A4314525. I am a neutered male, red Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd Dog. The shelter staff think I am about 10 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Nov 08, 2019. Sweet senior Donald is still looking for a home. I hate seeing any dog in the shelter, but I especially hate seeing the seniors behind kennel bars. Who knows how much time they have left; dog's lives are much too short, as we who love them know. Their hips aren't what they used to be, and walking on concrete or stepping up on a Kuranda bed can be hard for them. The mix of sights and sounds can be overwhelming and confusing when they don't hear, or see so well anymore... Ten year old Donald is your typical senior shelter dog. He really doesn't ask for much. He's a mellow guy and would love to spend his days lounging on a soft bed with a chew bone. A little walk around the block would great too, if you're up to it. Donald loves to sniff new things. If you're feeling lazy today though, no worries- Donald is happy to snooze and cuddle instead. Please consider saving this sweet old man from euthanasia.
