About Sandy

Adoption Fee: $100
Chihuahua
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

Sandy is my 89 year old mother in law's dog. Joanne is very ill, and has had a very difficult year, and so has Sandy and the rest of the family. I am Joanne's primary caregiver, but I have other ladies who help me out. Sandy is very protective of Joanne, and takes her job seriously. She has bitten all of the caregivers, including me. She is actually a very sweet dog, but she is anxious and can become aggressive when people mess with her mama. We cannot take Sandy because we have two dogs and three cats of our own. She gets along well with the dogs, but she chases the cats away, and they don't come back until she is gone. This is heartbreaking for all of us. Sandy would do well in a quiet home with no small children or cats. She is crate trained, and loves her crate. She does very well on a leash and in the car. She is healthy overall, but she does take daily medication for an underactive thyroid. She weighs about 8 pounds, which is a little overweight. Please text me if you can help us find a forever home for Sandy 432-559-5787
