About Pollyanna

Pollyanna is a 9 month old hound mix (possibly Rhodesian Ridgeback) and weighs around 30lbs. She was brought to Pasco County Animal Services via Animal Control when her owner was hospitalized and family members didn't want to care for the 17 animals found in the owners trailer. Pollyanna, her siblings, mother and 10 cats were all victims of hoarding. These type of unsocialized animals don't do well in the shelter environment so we decided to make Pollyanna part of our rescue. Pollyanna has been in our care for 3 months now. Rehabilitation of an animal that's been in a hoarding situation does not happen overnight and it's certainly not easy. It takes time, dedication, patience, acceptance and love. She has overcome so much but we are looking for an experienced and patient adopter to help her continue on her journey. Adoption REQUIREMENTS: a home with at least one other dog, a fenced in yard, no young children (15+ok) and someone who works part time, works from home or is retired. IF YOU DO NOT MEET ALL THE REQUIEMENTS YOU ARE NOT CONSIDERED A CANDIDATE. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Adoption travel distance must not exceed 1 hour from Wesley Chapel.
