I have a female pit bull mix named Freckles who is approx 2 1/2 years old that I desperately need help rehoming. I took her into my home early last year as a foster. in what I thought would be a temporary situation. She was found deathly ill running around in Atlanta near some railroad tracks eating her own poop and garbage at about 5 months old. She was very timid (of people,å%A0 wind,å%A0 shadows,å%A0 e.t.c). After working with her, I'm happy to report that she is potty trained, crate trained, not very timid,å%A0 can play with other dogs when she gets to know them (she's been around three different pit bull dogs on three seperate occasions plus her and my other dog act like sisters), and is very sweet. She is microchipped but she will need updated shots for this year. I have a large crate that can be given to the new owner(s). I am a pit bull advocate and will do a thorough interview and site check to make sure she is placed in a good home and not fall into the wrong hands. The bully dog breed is often used as an outdoor protection dog, many times chained up, used in dog fighting, or used as a bait dogs. That is not acceptable to me. She is an indoor dog who is used to lounging on couches and sleeps with me. Im looking for a person or family who will give her the same loving attention I have.
