About Nala

COURTESY POST Meet Nala looking for a Forever Home! Nala is a 6 year old Australian Shepherd. She is spayed, utd on vaccines, and heartworm negative. She was surrendered to me earlier this week after she was asked to leave her previous owners apartment complex. Her owner let her run around the complex off leash and Nala ran up to and began to chase and perhaps herd a small dog that was out with its owner and a young baby. The other owner was obviously upset and complained, and Nala's owner was left with a tough choice. We are looking for a new home for her! We did an on leash intro with our 40 lb 7 month old doodle and Nala seemed polite and did some play bows back. She loves people. I do not know how she is with children. I think she would do best with another large dog perhaps or as an only pet. She shows no outward aggression to other animals. She has had two previous acl repairs and the vet recommends she stay on fluoxetine for generalized anxiety. This costs about 4 dollars per month at Walmart.
