About Raymond

American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Raymond needs his miracle and he needs to find a place in Massachusetts. His story is one to break your heart I know I have shed many tears for him. You see life for a dog in the south can be very cruel. Raymond (originally named Black by his owner) was dumped at the shelter after 5 years with his family because they were having a baby. Adoption day should have been a happy day. Most black dogs don't make it out alive here. But for Raymond his fate was worse then death. We don't know if he was purposely fought or it was just allowed to happen. But 6 months after adoption he was found. Neck torn, legs and face riddled with scars, infections, skinny. Yet he's the sweetest soul that has ever lived. He has the cutest alligator smile. Goes belly up for tummy rubs and just wants to lay his head on a lap. We don't know how he'll do living with other dogs. Ok a leash he's non reactive. But truthfully we are not sure you can go through what he did and not bear the scars beyond the surface. We do know he's a love. He deserves a warm bed and a lap to always lay his head on. Please email for more pics. He is healing nicely Please apply at www.ittakesavillagerescue.com be sure you are on the Nc site not Delaware
