'Hello, can you please get me outta this here shelter. This just is not working out for me, y'know. My name is Carter and I'm a 12 year old, purebred Australian Shepherd that came to SVASC after my dad went to the hospital and was no longer able to care for me. I'm pretty confused about why I have to be at the shelter and I do really miss my family, but I'm just trying to keep my head up. I've been hearing an awful lot about a forever home and I think that that sounds pretty nice. I am an older boy, so I would love to find a nice and calm home to spend my golden years in. I walk well on leash and I'm already house-trained, so you won't have to worry about that when you bring me home. I'm also good with calmer dogs and older kids.
