About Gary

Meet Gary, 8 months old mixed Schnauzer breed. He, along with his brothers and sisters, was rescued from death in a high kill shelter at the 3 months of age. Since then, Gary been looking for his forever family. Currently, he is still at the shelter (but it's a no-kill shelter) - and we firmly believe that he deserves a chance at a better life! Gary is a young and curious pup who loves to be active and playful. He does well with other dogs; however, he shows some possible alpha traits. He has never lived among cats, but when a cat is present, he is very eager to play with it. Gary is great with adults and kids, but because he is a big puppy, he is still yet to learn how to play correctly, so we would prefer to find him a home with either adults only or kids 12+ yrs. old. Gary is such a goofball and will steal your heart with his sweet and silly temperament, he enjoys attention, playing and being active. It is preferred that his owners could allocate at least 90 active minutes per day (walking on a leash outside/running in a fenced-in backyard/playing/agility training/etc.). Gary is very young - he is a clean slate, so we also are looking for owners who will be able to dedicate their time for training and would be willing to be patient with Gary. He is a very smart boy, but still a puppy, and positive reinforcement and lots of love are required! Gary is healthy, up to date with all shots, neutered, and microchipped. He will need to be housetrained (due to his current living conditions in shelter, there was no opportunity to do so).
