About Maxwell (west)

Hi, my name is Maxwell ID# A4344169 I am a neutered male, gray and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 5 years old, and I have been at the shelter since January 11, 2020. Adopted and returned after a bite incident. Maxwell is a little cuddle bug...full of love and life...wanted to be close to his humans and loved loved loved to be loved on! He is a favorite of some of us volunteers. He walked well on the leash and everyone who walked him loved taking him out. He will get so excited if you pay attention to him in his kennel. The consensus from everyone is that he is one sweet boy. He never demonstrates any behavior problems at all and is never aggressive...nothing but happy all the time. He has the cutest personality and will lean into you for love and affection. Maxwell hates being crated. He got along with the small dog in the home. He was not reactive to other dogs and never heard him bark in his kennel. Max is on bite quarantine until tomorrow. We believe the bite was provoked by the father in law who was tugging at his face and got bit.. Maxwell has never shown any aggression before that. Adopter says he loves to cuddle and loves his ears scratched, and belly rubs. He cuddled and slept with kids. Due to his bite we recommend no kids. Quarantine is up 1/18/20 may be added to euthanasia list than. Please give this sweet little man a chance. If not adopted very soon, he will be placed on the euthanasia list.
