About Jax and Jules

4 year old purebred Golden Retrievers, about 80/70 pounds. Owner surrender. Jax and Jules are siblings from the same litter purchased as puppies from a breeder. Their original owner recently passed away leaving these two looking for a new place to call home. They were raised on 5 acres and are looking for room to run in their new home. They have typical Golden temperaments. Happy, friendly and gregarious. Jax is more outgoing than Jules, but she is definitely the BOSS. Neither walk well on a leash, as they were rarely leashed. While they have lived together their whole lives, neither seem especially attached to the other. They LOVE to go on walks and to the dog park and have been friendly with all the dogs they meet. They do love to follow their noses, so a fenced yard is required. However, their recall is very good! They have A LOT of energy, so they would do best in a very active home. They are being fostered with a (very bossy) Chihuahua and 3 cats. They pretty much ignore the cats and just obey the Chihuahua. Jax insists on sleeping in the bed with his foster and Jules prefers a dog bed on the floor. Available as a pair only. These dogs are not good with kids under 12. Adoption contract and fee applies. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters.
