My new friend, Mid-Illini Sir Finnega aka Finn, is a registered Maine Coon who just happens to be a Hemingway cat. Yes, he is polydactyl, which gives him the charming look of having mittens. Finn has a BFF he has lived with all his life and her name is Sophia. Although they sometimes get into cat arguments, he is protective and watchful of Sophia. Finn likes a soft blanket and will curl up with Sophia in her 'cat cave' or invite her to snuggle in his cat bed. He does like to hide his food and I have found, small rugs, towels, and other objects covering the food dishes. He was matted when he arrived and requested a 'lions cut' from his barber. Interestingly, his yellow color makes him look like a small lion! Finn has become very friendly and will follow me from room to room, when he is not napping with Sophia. He likes to be petted and rubbed- often pushing his head into me. He likes to talk and will let you know he is around. He is a curious cat and will jump up on furniture to watch over his 'kingdom'. Finn is attentive and likes it when I talk to him. Finn will need to have his forever home with Sophia and to be placed in a nice quite place with no children or dogs. DOB (approx): 7/8/2007.
