About Blue

Adoption Fee: $300
Siberian Husky
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Note: Blue's heart worm treatment is being sponsored. Blue is a drop dead stunningly gorgeous Siberian husky with ice blue eyes. He's also an absolute sweetheart. Blue was recently surrendered to our shelter by his owner, due to a hectic travel schedule. Blue needs an owner who has time to spend with him and bring him into the family fold. We were happy to take Blue in in the hopes of finding him that special person who will love and cherish him. Blue is about two years old. He's an absolute love of a dog. He welcomes affection and pets, but he does like to get his way. If he doesn't he throws the equivalent of a child's tantrum at Toys-R-Us. And, by that we mean he vocalizes his displeasure loudly and a bit dramatically. If you've ever heard a husky 'talk' you'll know what we mean ha-ha! That said, Blue quiets down when he can be with his person. Like many dogs, Blue loves attention and uses his voice to get it. Blue also longs to be free of the confines of his kennel. Kennel confinement is tough on this boy. Unfortunately, Blue tested positive for heartworms, which will limit his activities until he's healed. Luckily, we secured a sponsor for Blue's heartworm treatment and his treatment has started. Once healed, Blue will be an active boy, wanting to run around or go hiking. He walks beautifully on a leash. And, he definitely wants to go where you go. Blue rides in a car like a champ and seems to love the adventure of it all. Blue is like a big, overgrown puppy who needs his energy channeled. He would benefit from gentle guidance and to know what it feels like to be part of a family. It seems he may be house-trained, but might need a refresher once adopted. Blue is showing himself to be very smart and he picks things up quickly. Blue is a little cautious around other dogs, but he has been hiked with them and does fine. We'll test him properly with your dogs for any potential adopters. Blue is a bit too aggressive when faced with cats, so will need to go into a cat-free home. If you are looking for a beautiful, young Siberian husky who needs some TLC and training, fill out an application. Blue is one-of-a-kind with sooooo much potential for the right owner who is able to open their heart and home to this lovely boy. Come meet our gorgeous boy. Blue has been neutered. We'll start is HW treatment just as soon as the vet says it's okay. Blue has been micro-chipped. Call 706-865-4135 for information on additional health services provided as part of the adoption fee.
